Default Sock knitting machine stand

My Adult daughter is big into fiber arts, ie spinning, knitting ect. She saved her money and bought a sock knitting machine. The thing is cast iron about 20 lbs. So I came up with this idea for her to mount on, All the materials except for the maple feet were cutoffs from prior projects. I am pretty happy with the square top Hexagon Pedestal and round tenon in the top. Finish is Target Coatings 9300, coats gloss finished with one coat flat. Not really sure I like the white feet but hard maple is strong and cheap so that is what she got. I kind wished I had used 3 different woods for the feet.

Sorry if the photos are all sideways again.

I really like that - particularly the top. Very cool.

I think that having feet of different woods would have looked clunky. I think it works the way it is.

Looks great! Nice colours in the choice of timbers.
