Some projects I've been doing.

Hi Everybody,

Long time no speak!! My humble apologies.

So as far as health goes, I'm back getting treatment for the several small metastatic tumors that are living in my lungs! The doctors say that these little tumors can be controlled or maybe even terminated. I'm not holding my breath! I'm on Immunotherapy and we'll know over the next few weeks whether this approach will work. If it doesn't, well it doesn't and we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. In the meantime I'll start doing some projects for other people at no price. Makes me happy.

So here are some pics of projects I've been working on. If you'd like any info, feel free to ask. In fact, if you're really keen you can call me on +61 3 9459 1424 or 61 437 742 236.

Hey Rob!
I wish you all the best with your treatment mate.
Good to see you’re still getting some woodwork done.

Good to see you here & working, Rob! I survived stage III Lymphoma three years ago. I went to M.D. Anderson in Houston for diagnosis and treatment protocol. Today's medicine can do so much more than even 20 years ago! I am still cancer-free!

Best of luck with your treatment and you will be in our prayers.

It's great to see you again, Rob. Have fun with your projects, and good luck with your tumors. It's amazing how well Alex (Wonderwino) did - it's so great to see him doing so well. Hopefully you'll do similarly.

Hi all and thanks for your best wishes. Where I am at is that I have some tumors resident in my Lungs which are responding and, it now appears, I may have some malignant tumors still in my neck that are not responding. I'm having a CT scan tomorrow (Monday) and then an appointment with the Oncologist on Tuesday to find out what's been happening and what we can do.
I feel OK, just get tired easily and sleep a lot. Fortunately I still have my shed.

Regards,

Rob

Hi all, Good news! My tumours are stable ( in remission) at present to the joy of all concerned! While I still get tired easily, I am able to put together enough hours to be able to make things. I'll see if I can post some here (wish me luck).

Just before I do, while I was undergoing Radiotherapy, I recorded my feelings on an almost daily basis. It's not that often that a Scientist does things and actually publishes this data (totally subjective obviously, but still a valid way of viewing the process.) I shall rustle up some of them for you to read in a separate thread).

These are two cabinets I made after falling in love with Krenov's work

The timbers are all Australian. Southern Mahogany, Eastern Mahogany, Silky Oak and another timber whose name eludes me.

This is a table I made for a friend. The top is highly figured QLD Maple. The frame is Jarrah. The finish is burnished oil. As indeed it is on nearly everything I make.

and finally, a Tassie Blackwood and Wenge Box
