Only occasionally I suspect. The table is situated on the top floor of the house ( the house has three floor levels) and there is only a small, basic kitchen up there.. But it has the best views of the house, facing the mountains and coast line.
Most of our living is spent on the Middle floor, where we have the main kitchen and living area.

It's simply beautiful.

I'm a little late to the build but wanted to add my accolades. It is beautiful.

The style is one of my favorites also. I have seen some really nice tables where the legs are just an afterthought. Your table top and base really complement each other and has a nice flow.

I also appreciate the detailed build. Makes me want to get into the shop.

Thanks, Steve!
It was an enjoyable project, especially drawing out and making the base. I hadn't made one quite like that before with the angles. I'm interested to see how the joinery holds up over time with this design.
It was also great to give that top a new life. It didn't deserve a year or so, leaning against my woodshop wall.
Cheers
