Default Re: Chess set completed

John,

I got a lot of ribbing in the JMP class for the chess set about owning four saws. Then, John had us team up in pairs so that we could leave one of the saws tuned to do perfect 45 degree bevels and the other for the straight and five degree cut that could have been 4 or 6 degrees for that matter.

Ribbing stopped and I think a couple folks in the class placed orders for a second one!

If you want to do dovetails without changing the saws, you need four, so that's why I got four, although I have yet to set them all up for a dovetail run.

FYI, I paired with Neil and tried my darnedest to keep up, but dang that man can produce work- laser focus for sure, where I tend to get distracted by shiny things.

Great job Neil, maybe some day I'll finish mine as well.

That was a fun time, Rutager.

I was 18 months finishing my board and pieces. Hardly the fast lane! You just caught me in a good week.
