With the liberon oil, I just apply it as instructed on the tin. I haven't used it with the burnishing technique.

I'll let you know my results from the hard burnishing attempt, discussed elsewhere. So far my attempt at burnishing has resulted in a strange extra long curing time. I am also going to sample the final finishing results from ultra fine steel wool recommended by the manufacturer, and see which one I like better. Lastly, I plan a little wax as a final finish. I appreciate all the expert comments and help.
