Default Odds and Sods box in Sassafrass

Hi,
Nothing special, just a small (220mm x 115mm) open top box, which I call a "Key Box".
People seem to like these. You put them just inside your front door and drop your keys, cellphone and change into them as you enter your domicile for the night. I really only wanted to show the Black Hearted Sassafrass (BHS) as it comes up under Interior Finishing Oil.
BHS is a Tasmanian timber. It gets the black colour as a result of a chemical reaction between water with the wood. This happens after storms, when branches are ripped off and broken and water gains access to the tree.
You'll note there is a dirty great hole in one end. Such is life with scraps!

Hope you like it.

Regards,

Rob

I love the grain pattern of that timber, Rob.

Thanks for sharing.
