Nice post Cricket. I finishing up the interior of a Flicka sailboat. Tore all the old stuff out and made all new mahagony and teak cabinets. I like your pics and will check out your blog. My next project is a restore of a 1965 Chris Craft SuperSport. The client wants a "no soak" bottom so it's taking it down to the ribs. Do you ever have to steam the planks? I also noticed the kayak hanging up in the background. Did you make it? Something on my bucket list.

Happy New Year folks,
I had a productive week working on the boat, and managed to get in a sail on New Years day (in one of our club boats, not the new one!). I spent last week finishing up the seats and side benches, varnishing them, and permanently installing the lot.

The 400EQ worked great for sanding in tight spaces...

Here's a shot of all the parts laid out for varnishing on the bench.

This pair of side benches looks like something Okami might dream up...

I installed the thwarts and knees with sikaflex bedding compound...

...masking off the parts before installation in the attempt to simplify cleanup.

As always, the full story can be found here.

More later...

Beautiful Cricket!

Hopefully you'll get busy with work and she'll still be in dry-dock
by the time I get to come around and have a look.

Thanks very much, everyone.
There's a lot of work left and it will be in the shop until at least May. Come by any time, Michael, or anyone else who is in the area. There are several interesting shops on my floor.

What more do you want! Come on down Tom! We'd be glad to see you.
And actually, there are a couple more things to see/do here but I don't want to list them
for fear of attracting even more tourists.
