It's also my favorite civilian (even though these were bought by the military at first) plane of all time. I have several hundred photos of Staggerwings, and one in particular was rebuilt in honor of Olive Ann Beech, wife of Walter Beech. Three months ago, the Beechcraft Heritage Museum had their annual owners fly-in, and I went to see the planes, and hope to fly in one, but I just missed out on that opportunity. Maybe next year will be my lucky day. Anyway, this museum is approx. one hour away from me. This plane was an E17B, registration #NC19467, c/n 231, and it is devoid of all fabric covering. It is amazing at just how many parts went into building one of these, and I will post images of these planes in a separate thread.

Regards, Colin

Hello All, I don't have much time to write but I think this project must be the most amazing piece of work done with wood that I have ever seen.

Amazing work Colin, thanks for sharing.
