Default Lunch with Owner of Festools today

I met for lunch today with Charles Wilson who lives in a nearby town. Charles is the newly crowned winner of another forums contest for the writers desk he built. It is extremely well engineered. If James Bond had a writers desk, this would be the one. Congatulations Charles.

In case you were wondering we chatted about what Festools we have, how we use them, and how much we love them. It was a wonderful way to spend a lunch. Good to meet local woodworkers through this forum and actually get to meet them. (next on to meet list- Timmy C, Fred West)

Some day I will travel across the mighty Connecticut River and visit Charles's shop. Based on his work I could learn a few things and he lives down the road from Coastal Discount Tools, aka Contractor Heaven.

Thanks to the TF staff for facilitating this, Eric

Charles, How about posting some pictures of your winning desks here so the restricted members can see them.

And I'd like to add to the other's congratulations on Charles' well-deserved win. Let's see some more of your work!

Eric, when you started this thread, I thought that you were having lunch with the owners of Festool - the company! I was very impressed.

I'm still impressed that you had lunch with a Festool owner. I don't think I have...

I tried to make a play on words as to not use the word Festool next to Owners. I found out that I was trying to hard.

Charles, you should definitely post your pics here to. I have never seen the pics, but in person it is really amazing. Eric

I'll try to put something up in the Projects section this evening.
