Happy Thanksgiving folks. A quiet day at home reflecting on our good fortune. I've got a friend in the hospital now trying to recover from a heart attack and pneumonia. He hasn't been doing well and I've been praying for him every day. The wildfires are certainly enough to give all of us pause. So let's all be thankful for just being here with each other.

TBH itís been a rough year here, we had 3 of 4 parents in medical crisis at the same time, and my dad is on borrowed time now with cancers and strokes taking their toll. Nothing that hasnít challenged other families before, this is our road for now. In the midst of it all there is much to be thankful about. Looking forward to a low key dinner together, making the most of things. I hope you all can make the most of this Thanksgiving holiday in your own way, my best wishes to you all.

Paul, I know the feeling. My mother has had 2 major surgeries in the last 2 months and was discharged 2 days ago. With both of them 81 and living 900 miles apart is a challenge.
