Default Labor Day Apples & Festool

We had a bumper crop of apples in our yard this year after several years of nothing due to late frosts. Donna keeps bringing bushels of apples into the kitchen to process into pie filling, fruit leather and applesauce. We are accidentally organic - no spray on our trees because we never get around to it, so naturally, a huge flock of fruit flies seem to hatch as soon as the apples are in the house.

As they swarmed the kitchen and pantry, I remembered using my old CT-34 to capture the vermin many years ago, so I brought my trusty CT-36 into the kitchen and went about sucking the little bastards out of the air. So far, I bagged over 300 flies. Because I also had a Moscow Mule in the other hand, I also got one dish towel and a few feet off the paper towel roll. Heaven forbid one must stop drinking while running power tools!

The battle continues......
