Will do!

I also plan on dropping in on Jesse Cloud as well (although he's quite a bit further North).

Ah, but the further North you travel in sunny New Mexico the better the restaurants get, Rancho de Chimayo being the best in the state for real New Mexican food. I had the pleasure of eating there about two weeks ago so I know of what I speak.

Must go now as I'm drooling on my keyboard.

I've found good food everywhere in the state. Down your way, La Posta and Peppers (Old Mesilla) are my favorites.

Now I'm drooling on the keyboard.

Lee Valley= Great Company.
I did have a problem with a hand plane, and they did try to wriggle out a bit. The sole wasn't quite flat. I sent them photo's. They tried to tell me my measuring device wasn't straight...
I told them to forget it, and I lapped it flat myself.
I still buy from them, as their turn around out the door is fast, although their over seas shipping can be higher than other vendors I've dealt with.
I do like their tools and have quite a lot of them that I use daily.

La Posta has been good forever. Atmosphere is wonderful. If we can get Jesse to come down, we can surely have a great time.

@Okami

Sorry to hear about your issues with Lee Valley. That can be very frustrating to be sure. I make my own wooden planes and never have issues with the soles of my planes not being flat. Right!

I do have a Veritas Low Angle block plane and I cannot live without it. It is absolutely the handiest plane I've ever owned. Their A2 steel keeps a good edge as well.

Take care.

Hey John,

Would love to see you. And you might enjoy seeing a shop smaller, but just as crowded as your own.

Meeting up with you and Phillip in LC would be great, too.
