Default Sesquipedalianism

So one of the first things I noticed about one of our residents who shall remain nameless because you all already know exactly who I'm talking about is he's something of a wordsmith in addition to a wood dude.
And I don't think he's alone.
If you look it up on merriam webster you're CHEATING but how many here actually know what the word means?
I try not to scintillate people with ostentatious vernacular when I'm composing online for fear of appearing supercilious. I'd rather ingratiate myself with people and not appear pretentious, so I usually try to be a little more inarticulate so as to better harmonize with the diverse nature of the guest list.
I think we could start an English Major social club here.
Dog biscuits to anyone who knows when you do not capitalise "english".

Per, the smack lamp has been lit.

When it's applied to a cue ball.

I confess that I did know what sesquipedalianism means. But only because I looked it up after seeing Per's posts (at least a year ago).

I'm all for an English Major club here. While I was no English major, my proper British/India grandmother ensured that I had a large and versatile vocabulary.

And, as some of you have already observed, I'm kind of pedantic when it comes to grammar (and pronunciation, though that's difficult to get across in writing).

So BRING IT ON!!!

RW, you and Per are my favorite writers here.

Reading Per's stuff is like God throwing snowballs at 'ya.

Reading your stuff is like a pot being heated to a boil.
Cast iron over split oak.

RW, it's a lot easier to appreciate good writing than talk about it.

Your pieces start out cool,
get warmer and warmer
and when it's over something's been accomplished.

Also, they have a rustic style and wood smoke flavors.
