Default Retirment ceremony with candid photo

I recently had the honor of attending the retirement party of an old aquaintance of mine. We had worked together for a number of years and he basically forced into retirement as they brought a new guy on board.

He was born in Italy and came to the United States at an early age, eventualy becoming a citizen. He did his work well enough though not always with pinpoint accuracy. He was good at basic tasks but really struggled to learn new skills even when provided with enhancements to help him out.

I snapped this photo at his retirement party. It a rather sad scene as it show him just after he was introduced to the guy that taking his place.

Darin, you are a lucky guy to have gotten any work at all out of him. A number of his clan have taken up residence here in Lincoln and they are nothing but a bunch of no good troublemakers, the lot of them.
Lousy work ethic, poor accuracy, they don't show up on time some days and the days you need them most, they're probably sitting on their duffs taking a break. They frequent stores of ill repute and I have it on a reliable source that a number of their ilk have been sent to live "with the fishes" as a result of their deeds. Guys hire them on thinking cheap labor is the way to go but in the end, boy cheap is expensive.

On the other hand, I've heard the new guy got his job mainly because he has connections--dust collection connections.

And I've heard they've also put a dent in the boat anchor industry.
