Picked up the Woodford Reserve. Did a side by side with the Maker's Mark. Woodford wins for me , hands down. I think it is much smoother and much more flavorful.

I also spotted the Knob Creek on the shelf , think I will try that next.

Years ago I was visiting a friend. I was just getting over a persistent cough. I started up coughing and my friend gave me a shot of Jack Daniels, and then another. Did the trick for the cough. I felt no buzz or effects of drinking, but I had no motor control of my legs... had to be driven home. I guess you have to practice.

My favorite (and only) Christmas present this year:

This extremely limited edition sold out very quickly so I was very lucky to get one.

This is the second of the Holiday Select releases and I've heard that they will likely gain in value if left unopened. Too bad I'll never find out.

It is a superb whiskey that should not be left in the bottle!

Looks awesome. Sure it tastes even better.

So John, it's 2013. Curious if you got your shop fully powered or if you'll only be drinking bourbon this year rather than making something?

Not that there is anything wrong with drinking bourbon! Especially that bourbon!

Isn't one supposed to drink that in three phases?

Hope you had a nice Christmas!

Neil, I never keep alcohol anywhere near my shop, so spending more time there will automatically cut down on whiskey consumption.

Kidding aside, I hope this will be the "year of the machines" for me. I've said that so many times before, but life (and family) have kept getting in the way.

I've been planning this "dream shop" for so long that I'm determined to make the final result worth the wait.

OK, didn't get to the Knob Creek yet, but I have now tried Elijiah Criag 12 year. Definetly has a distinctive taste..... unfortunately not one that I am fond of.

Win some, lose some.

I could have sworn there was a wine stash in the room next to the shop (version 2.1 I believe)

LOL, drinking in three phase. I've heard of double-fisting, but where do you get the third arm? (careful...)
