Default Where is Hasselfactor?

It seems like she has disappeared from here. I am just wondering where she is and how she is doing?

I was thinking the same thing.
Perhaps she and her captain took the Black Beauty on a world cruise with no internet connection.

Or she got drafted into into some super-secret baking division in the military.

hmmm, Perhaps Rick might know.

As I recall, she took offense to being asked not to post politically charged rhetoric. That degraded into coming down with a case of the temper tantrums, and she swore she'd never set foot in here again. And she hasn't.

That probably explains where Rick and all his posts went!

Actually Rick left several months before Hasselfactor, in a huff over another matter.

Now that Rick and Laurie have their own forum they can run it any way they like. I sincerely wish them good luck and happiness in their venture.

There must now be hundreds of woodworking related forums out there competing for our attention. Running one costs money, can take up a lot of time, and keeping everybody happy is next to impossible. Sometimes I wonder why anyone would even want to do it.

Then I remember all the good friends I've made here, and all the good times we've had. I think it's been worth it.

Lots of new BFFs have been made here. Many of whom I have met in person as a result. I can honestly say that being on this forum with all these great people is a great enhancement to my life!

You've got that right, Alex. TalkFestool has been an unusually enriching and important part of my life. I've met some lifelong (I hope) friends here, and learned more about almost anything than in almost any other venue. It's distressing that Laurie and Rick left. On the other hand, we've gained wonderful new members.

I just wish they'd post more. I need to be entertained!

Well,

I guess I missed all the huffing.

And I'd like to chime in that I'm happy to have met (and felt enriched as well) everyone that I have at various times through this forum.

On that note I'm hearing rumors of another JMP get-together around the time if WIA Pasadena in the deep, dark woods above Los Angeles.
More on that in the days to come.

cheers,
Roger

ps. Thank You John!
