Perhaps the next step is Festools that will design and build our projects for us while we watch a ball game!

That's great stuff they are working on!

Oh, to be young and starting my career all over again. I do have a science degree, so I might even have been able to get such a research job. One can dream.

This is interesting , things like this are being built up in Second Life
at less the base part can be done to save time , like a real model
then tranfer down here to real life, but a great deal of problems can and are work out in a 3/D format using second life.

Frank, I see you work for IBM have you hear of this being done ?
We are doing this in woodworking by using prims to build basely what ever you can dream up, to me it save alot of time.

Up where we are setting up a showroom with Festools we will be teaching this type of building and all the classes are free cause IBM backing this type of growth on the inter-net , lot's of fun.

I'm now retired. I did work in software research and development for about 40 years (including 25 years with IBM and 6 with Microsoft). But, I did not work in the robotics area, just mundane stuff like database support software.

I was cleaning our robots at work one day. We had the covers off, and giving them a good polishing, and to my suprise, I polished up a Festo valve on it. I could not read it until I got the paint off, but nobody understood my exitement when I did see it. That is my Festo story. Thank You.
