Thanks for the info, just made the deadine today for my order. With the locking mechanism on the bottom of the tool, it beats the one thing my older Stanley has, which is the side mounted locking screw.

Woodpecker's gauges came today. Very nice. Really solid, the blade is about twice as thick as others I have (seen). Lock works well very easy to adjust the tension from completely loose to just grabbing ( for adjusting) to really tight.

Satin finish on blades is nice.

The angle gauge plate works well too.

One thing I didn't get to do was write instructions. The pre-pressure on the blade can be adjusted. The pinch pressure of the blade is set but how tight the flat head screw is tightened. A small set screw in the opposite end of the stud locks the flat head screw in place.

So to adjust it, first loosen the set screw, adjust the flat head screw to loosen or tighten the pre-pressure on the blade then re-tighten the set screw.

Oh, that is excellent!

Hi SRSemenza,

Just wanted to thank you for letting me discover this one-time tools a few months ago!

It was when you posted about the bevel gauge... Read the thread here, looked at the video and decided to go for the whole set with the angle gauge plate.

A few weeks ago, everybody wrote about their bevel gauges at last coming. Mine didn't. At first I thought that USPS was understandably slower to deliver to Belgium. But little by little I felt a bit worried about these tools not showing at my door. Expensive and not easily replaceable one-time tools, that is

But yesterday, I got a call from my local post office (and that's fairly unusual lol). The employee told me that for an unknown reason, a packet for me was awaiting, presented many weeks before at my house and never reclaimed. She said that usually I'm quick to come and take any parcels (yeah, looks that they know that guy coming quite often to take his packets as he's never home during workhours when the postman rings). But it was the final day and she had to resend it to the sender as undeliverable... aaaaahhhh.

We realized that there was some mistake somewhere (never got any receipt that it was once presented by the postal service). I rushed to the post office and... there it is.

Can't wait to learn how to use it in new projects.

Since then, I bought a few other one-time tools and I'm in a hurry to discover these quite impressive tools here around. So, thanks again for sharing the info!

Best regards,

- plouf -

I actually expected the next line to be "and now I'm broke, my Internet's getting disconnected, but I can measure accurately, thx!"
