Walke Moore Tools There are several quality tool makers today and we hope to be among them, though our focused efforts will be on offering tools that are either not readily available today or are being made at an inferior level. Our goal is to design tools that function flawlessly, look beautiful, and last for generations. Located in upstate NY, our shop primarily consists of a full-time professional woodworker and a mechanical-engineer-turned-hand-tool-woodworker-turned-tool-maker. We design and try to manufacture everything we sell, but in some cases a certain component of our tools may not be feasible to produce ourselves. When we do outsource a portion of our tools, it is exclusively to local businesses ensuring that everything we sell is 100% American made.

Default New Tools on the Horizon

WMT has been working on prototyping several new tools, some of which we hope to have available for sale some time this summer.

First off is a larger version of the clamps we already have available at Our current clamps are 4" long, we're planning a 6" version with scaled up hardware.

Next, a traditional brass-bound level with an adjustable vial (which is a nice and rare feature in my opinion). We have made wooden prototypes to help us get a feel for the size and proportions of the tool, right now we're looking at a 9" long version, horizontal vial only. The actual brass components are being made presently.

Finally, we have a few variations of a marking knife made from Damascus Steel. Possibly a left skew, right skew, and spear point version, all made from a single piece of steel. We are also looking at a wooden-handled spear point version.

No exact release date or cost has been determined yet, but I'm hoping some or all will be out by the end of summer. I will post updates as more information becomes available.
