Apparently they don't sell ice scrapers there, either? I thought you had connections up North that could send you one, eh?

Yeah, and think of all the fossil fuel you'll save.

It has been pretty cold in L.A. too (high 30s - low 40s). I think some folks around the country would get a chuckle out of how Southern Californians react to such temperatures. The way they bundle up, you'd think they had just landed at they South Pole.

Fortunately, the Santa Ana winds kicked up yesterday, so it should be back in the 80s by the weekend. That's life as it should be.

Okamisan, nice to see you here again, it's been a while. I'd like to see some photos of your progress on your shop.

John,

It was in the 70's at WIA Pasedena and the locals were wearing what we in MN would wear in the 40's.

If it helps you John, we didn't hit 20 today.

Best,
Rutager

We didn't hit 20 either, Rutager. From either side.

Or 30.

Highs in the low 70s...

Sigh.

That explains something!
Yesterday a.m. it was 8 degrees and I saw a dude dressed in shorts and a t shirt shoveling snow. I thought he had been smoking something, but maybe he was from MN.

Ned Young and I met for lunch in Toluca Lake yesterday. It was a nice day so we chose to sit out on the patio. It turned out to be a little too warm for comfort.

The things we have to deal with.

Ned might be okay, but I'd surely be arrested for indecent exposure and/or disturbing the peace (with emphasis on disturbing).

Not the workshop, but here's the view from the house.
