Yup, those caps would work well. I might get some to try out. But it really isn't a problem in my set up. I thought about capping the ends but since I have not had any (not even close calls) in about 4 years (since I built it) I plan to leave it. I also don't want to end up catching the clamps on the cap rim as I bring them out. My spacing between levels is quite close. There is not much "lifting" room.

But the caps certainly are a good item for the right situation

I will try to take some pics showing leg room later.

Oh, I think the rod is 3/8" so rebar caps should fit well.

Nice rack Seth, now all you need is some silicone!

I'll explain,,,

Firstly, have you considered slipping some vinyl tubing over the threaded rods where the clamps rest? ( you could find the exact size for a secure fit) I would imagine that would help cushion the clamps as you place them on the rods. Also, concerning Peter's concern, you could overextend the sleeves by about a fat 1/8th inch and put a dab of silicone on your finger then fill in the difference. Presto, end protector without the lip!
