As for projects, I may be making some tables out of cherry this summer, and this sander will be perfect for the large tops. It should completely finish a top in minutes.

I agree! A thickness sander is like having a Fein Multimaster. Most of the time it will just sit around unused, but when you need it, it is a big big asset!!! I just had a bunch of slabs I needed to get down to size, planing wasn't an option as I feared tear out. I had two options: spend hours with my belt sander or bring it next door? Well, 20 minutes and $35 later I had my lumber back and I actually made some money because I was able to finish another project the same day.

If you want to make money, you will need a thickness sander!

Have a thickness sander, or a different job... (for making money, I mean.)

So, John. It's July. Summer only goes on for another two months. When are these cherry tables being made, again? I guess once your electricity is hooked up, it'll be mere minutes before the first piece of fine furniture emerges from your shop?

Eiji,

I am anticipating a move to Vermont sometime inside of a year. As I will finally have a real shop I would like to request your services to negotiate my space. I am a huge fan of getting more space at a lesser price. So, please keep your boyish charm side by side with your ruthless dealer mode. I will of course pay your way to Vermont.

Fred
