Default Motor run hot?

So I've had my Tormek T7 since December 2009, but just started to use it last week. Love it!

But a couple of questions:

I found a puddle of very clear oil under mine. I don't remember putting anything else there but the Tormek. I looked around, but don't see anything that should hold oil. Anyone?

Following on, I noticed that the end of the motor (nearest the leather honing wheel) is pretty hot. Enough so, that you can't leave your fingers on it. Is this normal? (or did the oil coolant run out?).

I've been sharpening HSS turning tools. Has anyone tried the blackstone? Is it better suited to the HSS and really that much faster?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Figured out the problem......
Oil drained out of the capacitor that's on the side of the motor. They sent me a new capacitor. They were great to deal with and I got it in a timely fashion. Nice.

Of course, the one thing you wouldn't think could happen, actually did!. Glad you got it sorted out and fixed.
