Here's some more on the project. Trim and moulding phase.

Here's the base, casing and other assorted moulding fresh from the millwork shop. Red oak, craftsman style to match the upstairs...

With the with the wall insulated, draft infiltrations sealed, framing completed (and carpet prematurely down) it was on to the drywall.

I used 5/8" panels for almost all of what needed to be...

The door to the vestibule is 3/0 and the outsdie door is 2/6 so it's actually the limiting factor for getting big stuff downstairs. It's the only entrace to the basement from the outside.

A few more shots of the the big fix.

Due to some settling of the foundation the ceiling had a bit of slope to it. At its worst it was an 1" in ten feet.

with some spacer blocks and strapping...
