Re: Silicone glue spreaders

When it's in the shop, it is in a glass... stemware if I'm not recording, tumbler if I'm recording (easier to hide :Cop:)

Otherwise keep it in the house cuz during the day, I don't pay to cool it...

Re: Silicone glue spreaders

FWW's latest issue has a tool review of the Rockler silicone glue spreader. I love it like that guy except he thought what was lacking was a narrower version. I think what's lacking for him is a...

Re: Sliding Bevel / Bevel Gauge !

I actually expected the next line to be "and now I'm broke, my Internet's getting disconnected, but I can measure accurately, thx!"

Re: Where is Hasselfactor?

We have to look at the pile of tickets and see if we have a spare. If so, it's yours if you'll help out with keeping an eye on Roger (as in distracting docents so Roger can crawl around).

I seem...

Re: Where is Hasselfactor?

When people look, I'll tell them, "a little too much beer-pong; no worries, he'll shake it off"

Re: Silicone glue spreaders

ack! isn't 103 enough?! :) Today it was supposed to peak at 111, tomorrow 108 with 50% chance of storms so lots of humidity.

But I'll stop complaining as much since I got a mini-split A/C...

Re: Silicone glue spreaders

As economy would have it, the Aaron Bros about 3 miles from my house closed; nearest one is 45 minutes away, but I'll be in the area-ish tomorrow. See if they are creative; not likely, this is...

Re: Where is Hasselfactor?

For the WIA'12 Pasadena thread, how many of you have the Gamble House dinner tickets? That'll be sooo stellar. Chris (FlairWoodworks) even tried to get Darrell Peart to come along. After dinner...

Re: Silicone glue spreaders

Ooh, I like those. I bought a couple silicone bowls from a kitchen store and use them for holding glue. Forgotten glue or bits come out with a quick squeeze. Also got the brush Rockler sells, but...

Re: Thoughts on woodpecker cauls

I like Michael's take on it :) I love the BowClamps. I have nothing appropriate to say about these Woodpeckers not-cheap knock-offs.

I fell off the Woodpeckers bandwagon with the marketing of...

Re: What else to do in hundred degree weather?

When you got to the "and cut them in situ" part, I thought I was going to scroll down to a "but I forgot to reset the depth" and show a photo of your new moon roof. :)

I'm not a pick-up guy either...

Re: My friend, Christy Valenti

Today I poked my head out from under a way too crazy job schedule and found this thread; not one I wanted to read since I could guess the topic.

I didn't know Christy until I bought some tools...

Re: Lee Valley venture into Festool

I'm happy to hear about 8mm bits from Lee Valley; love that retailer... they pick up Festool, realize some necessary accessories are missing or difficult to get and they go to fill the void. And it...

Re: Video Review of Qwas Speed Dogs

Thanks! Pretty sure if you contact Steve he'd make a 3/4" set. Who knows, he might have daydreamed while making a 20mm dog and now has it in the 'smalls' pile that he could re-turn down to 3/4".

Re: Hearing Protection device opinions,,,,,

Maybe I'll get a lime-green set of 31s to try out. My 26s are very nice in the shop, but I think my open-garage-door policy keeps the reverb down... in summer when I run it door-closed, it's...

Re: Absurdity of warnings

I think prop 65's real purpose was to load the wallets of the lawyers who immediately went out to stores to find anything unlabeled. Apparently, but I haven't confirmed it (how?), when that law...

Re: Hearing Protection device opinions,,,,,

Let us know how you like the 31s. Woodcraft only had the 26 when I went one day; they were on a ridiculous half-price sale. They rock!

Video Review of Qwas Speed Dogs

I did a review of Steve's latest dogs; they are an idea from Noah Nordrum. Very useful. In fact, I'm posting this then leaving to the shop to do a little something with the Moxon vice with them...

Re: Hearing Protection device opinions,,,,,

The Zem hearing protectors (http://www.woodcraft.com/Product/2005488/16255/Zem-Hearing-Protection.aspx) are fantastic. Easy to pop on and off; light enough that you 'store' them around your neck...
