$500 of the saw's cost is the plastic wrap they ship it in! Not a complaint... it was very well wrapped!

The skip tooth blades are much faster for resawing due to the better dust clearance; there's more room for captured dust to be carried out of the kerf. If all the gullets are full of dust, you can't...

I agree that those extensions on the Felder immediately caught my eye. Seems like something you could fit to an existing saw with a bit of work. Maybe using aluminum extrusions instead of heavy...

The aluminum part is in an acid path with current running through it. That creates a relatively thick oxide layer on the surface ("rust" basically). Oxidized aluminum is very porous so you can soak...

Well, that doesn't instill any confidence. I sent the salesman an email this morning to verify it shipped last Friday or Monday as he stated it would.

When I ordered it, it was supposed to ship the next day. Called a week later, it was to ship that day. Called a week later, it was to ship that day... uhm... or Monday latest (being last Monday).
