Are you sure you were holding it correctly? The blade was suppose to be pointing down and away from you. If you got shavings they were suppose to come out of the top near that opening hole thing....

Well now I know how far they will go just to sell those high dollar ink cartriges. I imagine they will give you the printer for every purchase of a case of ink cartriges.:D
