Re: Is the OF1010 recommended?

Can you post a picture showing how it fits? The baseplate on my OF1400 is thicker than the jaws on the chip deflector that fix it.

Re: Birdhouses - Simple

I've made a number of boxes, and agree that taking them down for cleaning is a pain. My most recent design uses a French cleat to hold the box to the wall, and a big threaded knob (Axminster Star...

Re: Is the OF1010 recommended?

Like the previous poster I have both the OF1010 and OF1400. I like the ease of changing guide bushes on the OF1400, but I find it a bit of a beast.

I think the OF1010 has all the power I need...

Re: International pricing differential

UK Sales Tax is 20%, and the price quoted includes it.

Without it the price would be the equivalent of US$611.

Re: Dial Up Network?

The original Apple 'Snow' Airport Extreme hub has a dial-up modem built in. If you can pick one up off Ebay that may be a cost effective and easy option.

Re: New Festool drill: CXS

I got to play with the new CXS at my local dealer yesterday. It's a little jewel; small, light and (for me) very easy to hold.

If you have very big hands you might not get all four fingers...

Re: What car should I buy?

Bad luck, the Mercedes "B Class" is NAINA.

It has a sandwich floor, so the engine, battery, fuel tank and electronics are all tucked away below a false floor. Makes a large capacity car a very...

Re: ts 75 setting jaw problem

Perhaps I'm missing something here, but can't you find an intermediate position where the saw still slides nicely but there's no play side to side?

You might find a dry lubricant spray on the...

Re: how do I access my external hard drive?

You should still be able to see the picture files, even if you can't open them.

Having said that, I'm struggling to think what picture formats a PC will open that a Mac can't.

If you see the...

Re: how do I access my external hard drive?

If the drive isn't showing on your desktop then it isn't being recognised.

Plug in the power first, then as you plug in the USB cable you should hear the disk spin up. If you can't hear it, it...

Re: how do I access my external hard drive?

As TomCrawford says it should always appear on your desktop.

There is an option in Finder Preferences to select which items appear on the left hand side of a finder window, you need to have...
