Called service today and explained what was going on and told them it had been less than 6 months on the last repair. The guy tried to tell me the 6 month warranty is only good on parts you paid for...

Mike, it is not always like that! After I finish a big project I always take a couple days to clean and sharpen tools. My CT 26 deserves much credit for a clean floor.
