Re: That EC 125 sander

I've been wondering what to use the Pro 5 $50 discount coupon on and the EC 125 has been drifting into mind.

I have so many sanders already it's hard to justify buying another but the ES 125 might...

Re: New Festool sanders ... and a sale!

Since my credit card isn't charged until the product ships I'm not out anything. Ordering is pretty effortless and the deal sounded to good to be true so I'll be happy to get the one.

Re: New Festool sanders ... and a sale!

Got a message from Bob. I'll only get one of the two Pro 5's I ordered to make the sale a little more fair for the people who were just a little bit slower than me in placing orders. If Festool ramps...

Re: Anyone buying something in November?

I think Bob Marino stocked up on metric scaled tools so if you don't wait tooo long you can still get them (from him) the way they were meant to be.

Re: Boat Shop Bench- New Boat Project

Fascinating thread!

About the fuel fill issues, always obey Murphy's law.

"If I have to, I'll move gear and crew around to trim." Wouldn't that solve the problem of constant rise in the fuel...

Re: Anyone buying something in November?

I read something that implied that the Duo light might overheat if tilted too far the wrong way...

I bought the TSC 55 in October, before the Pro 5 kaflouie.

One of the reasons I went ahead...

Re: A handheld CNC router.

I forgot about your band saw template. I've never seen pictures of that in action so I don't really know how it works. Could your make a thread about it sometime or point me to one that I missed?

Re: A handheld CNC router.

From what I've seen in online videos anything that you can secure and support co-planar to the registration tape can be machined by the tool.

If you mean how tightly can parts be nested then the...

Re: Did anyone make it to Festool Connect?

Great review Neil! Much better than anything I read at FOG. Wish I could have gone but it was too far away.

From other descriptions it seems one of the big draws was also the bane of the...

Re: Evils of diet soda?

In defense of diet soda...

Re: Don't polish that cast iron top!

When I've neglected the table saw top for too long I go over it with a Scotch Brite non woven abrasive pad mounted on an old orbital sander and use a little WD-40 for lubrication. Red if it's real...

Re: Forrest Blades

I use Forrest blades. Highly recommend them.

Get a full kerf blade. After 20 years of use and a hand-full of re-sharpenings that one is now approaching a thin kerf blade with a very strong and...

Re: ETS 150 sander going off course due to the "jagging" phenomenon

Just a couple of notes...

You really need to try more types of abrasive. The Festool Brilliant abrasive is more comparable to the Jost stuff.

You really need to try a broad flat surface so you...

Re: ETS 150 sander going off course due to the "jagging" phenomenon

The ETS 150 is the smoothest sander I've ever used. It's possible the OP's unit has a problem.

On the other hand, he is using a 6" sander on a 4-1/2" board. They do make 5" sanders for narrower...
