Well here it is to put you all out of your misery

It's an 18v li ion framing nailer from Dewalt . I've not got time to go into great detail now as I've gotta be up for work in 6 hours but I will post more info. It doesn't need gas and fires the same paper collated nails as the paslodes. It's slightly heavier than a paslode. The batteries last for ages and it works down to minus 50 unlike paslodes

More to come.

Oh and best of all I get to keep it in payment for testing it out for the last 2 months

Yeah, well IT might work down to -50 but I HATE working in cold! So just what I needed: another disappearance of a reason to look at the thermometer, see that it's -30, and realize "YAY! Too cold for tools to perform! Guess I'll have to surf the 'net by a warm woodstove".

On the other hand, we finally saw >0F temps starting yesterday, after 25 days not reaching that level. So +6F is the new heat wave....got lots of outdoors stuff accomplished, like replenishing my woodpile.

Batteries interchangeable with other tools in that line, Chippy? They look like the Li-Ion batteries in my 18V Makita setup - though I'd be astonished competitors would do that.
