Default Qwas Products - Bench Dog aka Qwas Dogs

Well, I've been very busy the last couple weeks. I've decided to learn some metal working. My objective is to produce some 20 mm aluminum bench dogs.

I'm glad to announce the first prototypes have been produced and will be available for viewing at Timmy's Open House this Saturday.

Here is sneak peek for our members.

This last picture shows 1/2 inch plywood resting against the bench dogs. The dogs sit about 7/16 inch above the table top.

I'm still not sure when these will be available for sale or the price. Stay tuned for news coming shortly.

Those going to the Open House will be able to view some models I have in mind for future sales.

EDIT: I now have the start of a web site for more details. Qwas Products

Steve,

Those dogs look very nice. On my screen they look like they're SS. Would that be correct.

Another great reason to go to the Fest, I'm looking forward to checking them out.

Oooooo! Can I get some with flames on them?

Steve - I didn't know you were going to the Festool Fest. Now I'm even more bummed that I'm not going. Oh, the wages of poverty! Or lack of wages...

Steve,

You not tellin' us something. Are you the surprise guest on the fest docket?

Unfortunately, I can't make it. I have a family reunion to attend in Florida.

I have mailed them out to Tim and he was gracious enough to allow them to go on display.

Steve,

VERY nice work! Uhmmm... If you were to produce and sell those puppies, how much would you charge for a pair. (Not, of course, that I would be interested. )

Regards,

Dan.

Thanks for the thumbs up!

They will be sold in pairs but I haven't come up with a price yet. Still waiting to get some feedback from the open house and I need to perfect a couple more machining steps yet.

I'm hoping to get everything settled out and get these pups out in the matter of a couple weeks.
