Dan,

I thank you for that.
But still its being able to tell a compelling story.

Now seeing as I have booshirted since the day I could burp, well I'm qualified.

p.

I know, how could you respond to that last sentence?
I do know its impolite to laugh at your own jokes, but golly,
it took me three times to realize. No not writing. Reading. To realize how funny that was.

Like the post card from the Hurricane always reads.

Wish you were here.

P.

Jeeze Per, did you stay up all night?

Pay particular attention to the sound quality, it's as important as light.
I know Bob has the lighting covered.

About a month ago I met Swenson & Swenson for the first time, at Force Machinery in Union, New Jersey. I got there first and was hanging in the Festool corner in the back of the store. By the time they were late I went to the front to look for them and found a gentleman who could only be Bob. He said Per was out front checking for a NY license plate to see if I was there. Turns out they'd never been to Force and didn't know there was a Festool corner.

As soon as they got to the Festool section Per was ON. It was like he'd been rehearsing the day before. He probably sold two Kapex, a Domino, Rotex 150, and an OF 2200 in fifteen minutes. Would've sold a jigsaw too if we'd found the blades in time.

So, Per's ready to go.

Michael,

I have that covered. Sound that is.

I have been plotting for a long time.

And thanks, but folks, he exaggerates, I don't sell.

I just do.

Yea, technically Per didn't sell any tools, but his demonstrations put it into the minds of people that they wanted those tools.

What a great thread! Although I'm older than most of you, I can still identify with much of what has been said.

Per, congratulations on your new "baby". I hope everything works out as you have so carefully planned. But, either way, a lot of joy will be found in the trying.

Hey Per. Let me know about the "extras" job. Heck - I'll even bring my own Festools. You just need to pay my travel ... across the country. I'll put Eiji in my carry-on, for added woodworking support.

And speaking of woodworking music, I'm betting we have some seriously talented musicians among us. Why not make "The Festool Band"? Woodworking blues in the style of Led Zepplin. We could do the soundtrack for you, and then go on tour and make zillions! Screaming fans and all.

Come on, Bob - time to dust off that guitar. We can do classical/Spanish riffs while Fred sings. (You may not have known this, but Fred actually did sing in a rock band - apparently he's Robert Plant reincarnated (not that Robert Plant's dead, or anything...))

Dear Uber,

Actually, making up words to songs is something I'm not bad at.

And on the way to breakfast this morning, we were brainstorming about the name of the band. Gillian's was best:

The C12 Drills

She has a future, that girl!

Poto, Per did not like that post, he thinks I'm antagonizing Dr. J. so I deleted it.
I can wright a tune a minute but I am not good at the words. Limericks yes
ballads no.
Send me one I will try it.
Almost uber alles
Bob

Per,

I've got a 4x5 Grover view camera that would love to keep that Airflex company :-)

Looked at getting a large format back for it once but the 22K price tag made me throw it back into the corner of the closet.
