I just ordered another one as well getting the 20% discount from rockler and it arrived yesterday. I am planning on doing some upgrades to improve he system.

1. Reinforce the lids with a circle of ply or mdf as Poto mentions.

2. Replace the flex pipe with solid piping to reduce flexing to the entire system and at the same time increasing airflow with smooth large radius bends. I may make it out of steel to make it even easier to complete the grounding of the entire system.

3. I'm going to add a 4 inch gate to the bucket to make emptying dust free into my large cyclone in an instant. This also negates the need to remove the lid or open the bucket or the hoses for anything.

I may do things a little different when I set one up with the boom arm. I have to do some more thinking about that once I get one. I use my set ups primarily in my shop. When done they will be very efficient self contained mobile self emptying cost effective systems. The one on my kapex will be piped in solid to empty into my large cyclone with just opening the 4 inch gate.
