You're forgetting my proud Canadian heritage, oh Fredless. I grew up when there were only 10 or so hockey teams, and, except for the hapless Chicago Blackhawks, all were populated by toothless Canadians. San Diego is but a way-station in the journey of life. And dull hockey skates. And wet ice.

But seriously. You know what's really sad? I'm not the world's best skater or anything, but out here in la-la land, I'm like the superstar on the rink. And these San Diegans have no sense of rink ethics - going every which way, totally out of control. They'd have got their butts whipped, back on the frozen rinks in the parks where I grew up...

"All right. Everyone skate counter-clockwise!"

Eh?

Exactly, Michael. But they don't do that here. Most people skate the same direction, hour after hour, day after day, while the rest just randomly careen around causing accidents. It's a zoo! A zoo I tell you!

Plus, the ice is really wet and soft. Kind of sucky.

On the other hand, people skate in short and skimpy tops. So at least there's a lot of visual distraction... :sdrool:
