Great guide there Eiji,

One question...how do you make a full length cut with the end of the guides sticking out so far? It seems like you'd have to cut up to the first guide, stop walk around the end of the guide, start again up to the second guide, stop walk around, then finish the cut.

Is that how it works?

[quote=EijiFuller;21138]the bars were lying about and I had already picked up a few different sizes of 6mm screws for incorporating a bar in a crosscut jig.

They look great Eiji! But is there another jig in the works as well?

Jay

I have the parallel guides and I think that they may be going on E-bay at some point.

Eiji the thing that really appeals about your jigs is the fact that they dont have to straddle the work peice....they lay flat on it. This in my opinion makes all the difference.

Jig & Fixture Components :: T-Tracks :: T-Track Plus

I dont know if it would be possible to incoparate the above in some way and then they will really be sweet.

Darn, another item on my list of things I need to build. Very nice.

I have them set so that I can stay in the middle and make the whole cut. I know they are a bit long but I didnt want to make 2.

It's hard to tell from the pictures, but Eiji has arms like a gorilla! There's no way I could reach around those things. On the other hand, I probably couldn't see over his workbench, either!

Why not stand on the other side of the rail? Just scoot the works over on the cutting table so the guide rail is close to the right hand side.

I do the same thing, Corwin. For those long cuts I've found that putting the saw in my left hand and walking beside it works great. You just have to remember to start with the saw in your right hand - it's hard to switch during a cut!

What's wrong with your left index finger and thumb? You're not that right handed are you?

Doh! Let's be nice and assume that by "right" I meant "correct" hand - in this case, the left!

Sorry - brain cramp as I was typing that post. I meant "left" hand...

Thanks Michael. I have some other editing that needs doing, if you're free...
