Default Blue Spruce Fishtail Chisels

I bought a pair of Blue Spruce Fishtail Chisels with some of my Christmas money. It took a few extra dollars to actually complete the transaction.

They are both (3/8" & 1/2") absolutely beautiful and ready to use right out of the box. I did put a scary sharp micro bevel on them with sharpening films on a granite slab. They have to be honed by hand as they are not readily mountable in a honing guide.

Very nice WonderWino (I'm having a red while typing this )

I just bought some Blue Spruce chisels: the large size (1"+) bench chisels plus 2 small ones (1/16" & 1/8") Gonna be a long 3-4 weeks waiting for them, but it is worth it.

Nice half-blinds btw. That's something I haven't tried yet. Whenever I think of trying them, I think "oh, I'll just apply the front "

I can't claim those dovetails - that's the photo off their website. I did get a shot of the chisels today, though:

Note that the handles aren't just stuck in any old way - the grain runs parallel to the blade for more strength. I just made a few chips with them so far. I hope to get some real work done with them soon.
