Default SawGear

Anyone see the new article at THISisCarpentry by Gary Katz on the SawGear automated fence?

I played with this device at a Las Vegas show last year, and fell in love with it immediately. It is now on my list of "must have" toys. I think it will work very nicely with my Maggi RAS.

I wonder if they are related to These Guys. They have made industrial/commercial versions for years.

They sure look a lot alike, Scott. One company is in Washington (state) and the other is in Oregon. I wonder if there's a connection.

I have no idea. I know that the Tigerstop guys have been around for quite a while. I remember looking at their system 15 years or so ago. At that time it was very expensive & designed for use in production. The cost of linear motion components has dropped significantly since then though.
