Default Wixey 3-inch Digital Protractor?

Anyone have one of these?

I think it might be the answer to setting an ATF or TS saw accurately.

Available from Incremental Tools for 50 USD. If you're buying I have a promo code for 7 USD off.

Ned,

Ooooh... That's nice!

I have a Bosch digital protractor, but it's big. I.e., only good on walls and such.

Thanks,

Dan.

I could see that being a pretty useful little tool. Thanks for posting, Ned!

I have one of their little "maganetic boxes" Wixey.com - Digital Angle Gauge

It works great

Y'know, Jay, that little box you mention may be even better.

Since you zero it out against a surface, and take the angle off of that, there's no need to level the upside-down Festool saw. All you need do is position the saw so it doesn't move while you're checking it.

And cheaper, too.

I think that's what Michael suggested some time ago, in a thread far, far away.

Does the Wixey protractor work by measuring the travel between the arm and the box? For instance, if you measure an angle with it vertical, and then (keeping the angle) lay it horizontal, does it still measure the same angle?
