Default A different direction

I have gone a different direction than most here with my handtools. My latest purchase, two type 6 Stanleys from 1888 to 1892. A matched pair of old hardware.

Good handplanes for sure
You won't go wrong with those. Are they nice and flat still? Not not, just a bit of lapping, no big deal. I upgraded the blades on my old stanley's with some from Lee Valley.

They came from Bob Garay at Takeadiptools in New Jersey. Bob is a retired shop teacher who restores old hand tools. I bought a couple of 100 yr old hand saws from him last year. Prices are VARY fair and tools are in great condition.
