Default Willie Davis Plane

Just finished "Willie Davis" Special Edition Winter Smoother.

This one was fun. Stainless sole and bedding plate, new style lever cap screw, oiled brass bits and Italian Olive Wood. Making a special edition plane for someone you know is always interesting.

Excellent! I like the new cap screw design.

Hope you and Julie are enjoying the summer and getting some use out of that porch!

Thanks Neil,

We use the porch every evening. Especially when it rains in the evening.

Lovely work as usual Ron.
I'm not sure that the machining on the lever cap screw is to my taste on this one...I'm sure it will grow on me.
Still a lovely plane.

The billowy grain on the tote is spectacular. I like the cap screw - for a tool-less screw, it has great finger-gripping potential; very practical.
