Default Comparison of three oils on one type of timber

Hi all,

I found this in my files from about 5 years ago. It's a comparison of three different oils used on one piece of delicately figured Red Gum. I think you can see that the Scandinavian Oil and China Wood Oil (which I think might be straight Tung Oil) both show subtleties in the grain that the Cabot's Danish Oil seems to lose.
This is why I avoid using Danish oils and stick instead to pure or near pure oil finishes. The cat had nothing to do with this by the way, she was just an impartial observer.

Regards,

Rob
