I was not too happy with my Q4's setup so I changed it a bit.
The parts can be found at the big box store. If you notice the air supply for the pressure cup is on the non-regulated side of 1/2" ball valve. This did wonders for keeping the cup at constant pressure. The way it was before turning down the pressure to gun proportionally turn down the cup pressure. The paint cup is holstered in a modified Husky Drill holster. I cut the bottom on a band saw and cut some of the pockets out, followed by a little epoxy. I also switched to the #3 nozzle setup which worked wonders for lower viscosity paint. The paint supply tube can be easily cleaned or tossed out because it cost pennies to replace. The turbine is sitting a 30.00 Harbor freight work cart. I posted it the other site as well. You see.....Talk Festool is my "Days of our Lives" and they are my "General Hospital" if you know what I mean. |
