Though I do not know how stiff and tight the connections on the three piece stainless are. Maybe try asking about them here - Festool Installer/Tradesperson Cleaning Set.

I can provide my take on the curved hand piece and three-piece stainless tubes here. They are very nice quality accessories, but the connections on my set are not as tight as they could be -- they can come apart a little too easily. But, since they don't flex (as others have noted of the plastic tubes) you may like these better if you were to tape the connections together.

I was looking to upgrade to the D36 hose and thought that the Workshop Cleaning Set was a great way to get the larger hose and a great floor sweep.

Corwin, I don't have this issue with my SS hand tubes. I usually don't take my tubes apart often so that might account for tight connection.

Well, I don't take my tubes apart either. Just checked them prior to my previous post and found them to be somewhat loose -- just as I had noticed in the past. Mind you, they are not really a problem, but mine could use to be a little snugger so they stay together all the time.

Hi guys

I just realized that I am not using most of my compact cleaning set items, all I want to keep is the crevice tool and the systainer box.

So, anyone interested? List is $75

A new systainer appears to be $58, so I guess $20 plus shipping would be fair for the pieces. What I am really interested in are the containers that go in the Systainer for holding screws and such. If someone wants to swap drop me a note.

Jay

Jay, If you want to use an empty Sys-1 and some of the boxes inside to store screws and such, you very well may also want the foam insert that fits under the lid of a Sys-1-Box. This seals off the tops of the boxes to keep the stored items from getting mixed up.

Hi,

Just a little update- The Sys - II is working very well for the cleaning set. I added dividers to get rid of the jumble. For more on the dividers see this thread - Systainer Dividers

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I also discovered that the swiveling elbow can be removed from the floor nozzle. Take off the snap around ring. The D27 hose fits , and the tubes also. But the tubes will partially block the suction because they extend into the open head space. Not sure if this is useful but you never know .........................

I did get the cleaning set by now, not because I was looking for it but because became it as an unexpected extra when I bought something else for cheap.

I find the plastic tubes satisfactory, they fit tight enough and it's still possible to use them with quite some force. So no problems at all.

I got the cleaning set in a box at first, but with some luck got me the accompanying systainer too. I find I can fit everything in there with ease, even with some of the extra nozzles added.
