For me, My fingers gravitate toward the On/Off Switch on both my EC Sanders....its my Auto Off Feature when I accidentally hit it ....

Update on my sander. I got a voice mail from Scott at Festool, he told me that being they had worked on it twice before for the same problem that he was swapping my sander for a new one. This is day 6 of the worse case of the flu I have had in 30 yrs so I did not get to talk to him when he called.

My sander was right at 3yrs old when it went in the first time so they are standing by the product well I would say. I wish I had been able to talk to him when he called, I would have been interested in what is causing this on going issue. Almost seems like a heat issue as I have the most problem when sanding with 150 for an extended time.

Hope to be back in the shop in a couple days, had a project nearing completion when I had to quit.

I look forward to it arriving back here to try it out, it is really my favorite sander.

The replacement sander arrived last night. I was expecting them to send me a refurb unit, which I would have been happy with, I just want it to run. Well to my surprise they sent a factory NEW unit, systainer and all. For a unit that was really at the end of it's warranty life I think this is pretty amazing.
