Default Did anyone bite on the RECON TOOL Sale?

I needed nothing, so I let it pass, much to the relief of my credit card.....
If they only opened it to include the NAINA items too, well, that WOULD be a different story......

I looked, but did not bite on anything either. I think I'm "tool poor" until I get the shop building renovated. Then I'll need a new bandsaw.

uh....I did not get the memo.
What re-con sale?
But I do have the google. Albeit the Illinois corrupt version and found the listing for re-con Festool.

Reconditioned Tools - Festool Power Tools

I really would like a saw but seriously. A cord? It is 2014. I have used battery saws for 15 years. Today included and was Mr. productive.
If it is an issue of turning on the vacuum at the same time send an RF signal to turn it on.
2014 theory.

But if you're connecting a hose, how is a cord an issue?

fully understood.
shown is what I did yesterday. Making forms.
24v and 14.4v trim saws on the table. I only used the yellow one.
No vac needed for me hardly ever.
And to be honest back in my woodshop I kinda don't mind sweeping up sawdust.
My dust pan don't cost $1 grand.
And when you drill holes there is sweeping and shop vac?
.
Ironically I won a bid on Ebay last night for a replacement DeWalt 14.4v saw/battery. My 15 yo one has a switch that is starting to act up. That or the motor. For the price I paid last night it aint worth opening the saw to clean it out. Plus I got a good battery to boot.
.
Sometimes we poke fun at the quality of "common tools" sold at Lowe's and Home Depot but I sure have been very pleased with the 14.4v Dewalt saw.
Cuts are clean and straight. when a straight edge is used.
If I had a dime for every cut I've made I could probably buy a new Festool battery saw. Maybe two.
Not a hater here, just wishing out loud.

Hey wait....how about a non-corded vac? The common guys have battery vacs (ahem)
Where's my new product development guy from my Festool takeover thread?

I hope the feller in the photo does not trip on his hose or tangle in his cord.
Static electricity is probably a deal-breaker.

Yes. I'd been thinking about the 2200 for some time. While I love the 1010, the 1400 is only so-so given its dust collection setup seeming like a real afterthought to me.

When I saw the 2200 for 30% off (actually it was in the old style systainer, so it was really 48% off today's price for that), I jumped.

It's going to live in the CMS and I'm perfectly content with that scenario.

I did a quick wipe down and clean up on it. There was a bit of dust maybe from solid surface material trapped between the base plates. But overall, it doesn't look like it had a lot of use.

I filled my shop last at last years Recon sale and didn't see anything I needed this time around. A lot of their drills being offered are the older batteries with the 3.0Ah instead of the newer 4.+ Ah batteries.

The only thing I need right now is a few extra Systainers to fill with my consumables and I think I'll wait until the nest Woodcraft sale for those.
