Default Vac Sys

My favourite Festool reseller is trying to sell me the Vac Sys - vacuum clamping system. Anyone got any input - I'm close to caving in but know I should save the money for when things get even harder.

Compressor
Does anyone know if the vacuum unit can work as a compressor to drive nail guns?

I remember seeing a compressor in a systainer on the web somewhere. I just lugged my small silent compressor to a client's house today and would love something more portable. Any info on compressors in a systainer? I cannot seem to source the small canisters mentioned on another thread here in Europe.

Thanks

Schneider, a sister company of Festool, used to make a compressor and tank in two Systainers. I don't see the product on their website now.

At least one of us (Michael Kellough?) has fitted a compressor into a Systainer.

HTH,
Ned

Not a compressor, a vacuum pump.

I hadn't heard of the company Schneider before, but I know prebena makes a compressor like that link

Thanks, FrankJan.

Prebena might be the manufacturer I was thinking of.

I recalled an air compressor product in two Systainers--one for the machine, one for the tank, and here it is on the Prebena site:

Aerotainer-twin.jpg

Aerotainer Twin, about 750 euros with tax.

Here are the specs for the Aerotainer 200, a single-Systainer model:
