Default Systainer - Metal Cutters

Tool: Slugger Cutters
Case: SYS1 w/ Festool dimpled foam lid
Guts: 3/4” – white sign grade pvc sheet raised off bottom about 1” by 3/8” wood dowels.
Rating: full cooler / I have at least 2 full days in this.

Note 1) Jancy is a Great Iowa company well known for annular cutters. Fein acquired them recently.
Although these are high speed steel they are rated to cut 300” of high carbon steel before re-sharpen.
Note 2) The three smallest cutters have a larger shank than the bore hence the hole appears oversize.
Note 3) most of the c’bores were performed with a forstner bit. Then the final dia. bored with actual cutter.

Photo 1) Had a basic kit with about (10) and decided to order all. Still waiting on (3).
Photo 2) Some cad was used for layout.
Photo 3) Love my old inside strip sander.
Photo4) Sourced an old Bridge City in Rosewood from EBay and got to use it mid-job.
Photo 5) homemade scraper from a 1/2” bolt.
Photo 6) arbor tray is a (3) pc assy. glued flush in a rectangular opening.
Photo 7) example of use: speed holes on gussets of my desert racer frame.

Default Re: Systainer - Metal Cutters

super nice thanks.
No sooner did I finish the kit, I used them today on a grunt job as FedEx dude dropped off parts.
Rewarding to enjoy the kit after all that time into it.
