Default Festool Training - Cabinet Building Class

Just a quick review. I attended the Festool Training Class for Building Cabinets in Henderson, NV. Sorry, no pictures. Too Busy/Too Much Fun to take pictures.

It was a two day class during which we built a face-framed bottom cabinet and a frameless upper cabinet. We used:

The MFT/3's
Parallel guides
LR-32 Hold drilling system
MFK trim router
1010 router
TS55 saw and rails
C12 drills
RO90 sander
maybe more, can't remember

The class was outstanding. 6 students, 1 instructor (Steve Bace). We formed 3 teams of 2 and had a ball. Steve's a grand instructor. None of us ever felt dumb asking questions, and we asked a lot. Everyone was respectful of everyone else. We all finished our projects on time and covered other items of interest to everyone. Most of us learned a good deal about calibrating some of our tools. I certainly came away with a better understanding of the LR-32 system and the parallel guides. I've owned them both for some time now, and realize that I wasn't really proficient with either.
The follow on class will be drawers and doors. I'm really looking forward to that as well as the advanced router class. I can't recommend the classes enough. Sign up!

Thanks for the feedback, Mike. I don't believe I've ever heard a negative word about the Festool classes.

Hopefully I'll be able to attend some one day.

Ive been wanting to go to one of those classes. But they do seem to fill up very fast.

I have been to a few demos where the fesool rep comes to my supplier sets up and demos the tools and what they do etc.

Not the same thing,

But its beter then nothing.

The U Tube videos Ive seen of the set up instructions have been awesome and helped me set up the MFT system.

I really would like take the drawer/door class.

Well one of these days Ill have a ephinany and get registered

You're right about the classes filling up fast. I thought that I signed up the first time it was announced and I was an alternate. Worked out though. Keep trying.
