I had to reroute some of the wiring on a couple of outlets so I drilled maybe a dozen holes with a 1" auger bit. It went right through new 2x4s with no problem, the bit was fairly new so that helped. Today I mounted a piece 1/2" plywood to concrete block and used the T15 to drive the 1 1/4" Tapcons (masonry fasteners). So far the drill has worked as well as the 18V DeWalt XRP it replaced.

The first day the T15 was on the job it only took me about three hours to drop it off a 6' step ladder (about an 8' drop). Then one of the alarm guys took my ladder that I had my drills on, he set them on the floor. I didn't know it and ended up stepping right on one of my drills as I came around the corner, guess which one. The drill has some minor scratches otherwise its fine. The nature of a remodeling job is tough on tools especially drills. Generally my tools are well taken care of but the drills seem to take a beating no matter how careful I am.

Geez Brice, they are going to make you the Festool T15 Poster Child if you keep that up!!!

It's a rough world out there -- they show the drill being dropped off a ladder to concrete in the Festool videos so what you are putting yours through shouldn't be any worse. It will be interesting to see how the life of the drill compares to your Dewalts, etc. Hopefully Rick is going to tell us that due to it being a brushless motor, etc. that it will be a tougher drill to kill.
